Welcome to this side of the woods.
Born in northern California, raised in central Oklahoma, and now resides in central Colorado, Katrina’s collage work is a tribute to the resilience of the human spirit. Through expressionism and surrealism, her intuitive approach to analog collage allows her to create compositions designed to vibrate the subconscious. Katrina's collages are passionate and emotive, reflecting the complexities of the human experience and the joy of integrity and transformation. In every collage, she encourages viewers to embrace their authenticity. Through her art, Katrina invites viewers to embrace their own emotions and find freedom, solace, and adventure in the exploration of their inner universes.
Katrina Heartwood is a handcut paper collage artist.
“ Working with Katrina this past year has been a wonderful experience! She is timely in her correspondence, as well as thoughtful and kind. When you work with Katrina, you get a true sense that she cares deeply about the work she creates and the connections she builds through her art. Artists like Katrina remind me of my favorite part of my job as the Merchandiser of Bonus Track: the opportunity to form real connections with inspiring people who love creating art and memories with others. ”
— Serena, Merchandiser for Bonus Track Factory Obscura

“I recently had the joy of purchasing a piece from Katrina Heartwood titled Daughter of the Woods.
From the moment I first saw it, something about it spoke to me on a deep, personal level. There’s a quiet strength and a sense of connection in the piece that I find myself drawn to. It feels as if Katrina poured a part of her soul into it—and I mean that in the best way possible. You can feel the care, the love, and the intention in it.
Beyond the art itself, Katrina is an incredibly warm and personable artist. She radiates authenticity, and it’s clear she has a genuine relationship with her work. That connection comes through so clearly in Daughter of the Woods, and it makes owning the piece feel even more special.
If you’re thinking of adding one of Katrina’s works to your space, do it. Not only will you be supporting a truly talented and heartfelt artist, but you’ll also be welcoming something meaningful and beautiful into your life.”
